He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Montevideo, in addition to attending various workshops in Brazil with artists and illustrators such as Amador Perez, Pojucan, Gabor Getzi, Annabela Lopez, Gringo Cardia, and Rico Lins.
Collage was a natural step in his career. The artists he met, the places where he worked, and his accumulated visual references led to cutting and pasting becoming his primary form of expression—whether through teaching, manual or digital collages, animations, assemblages, or in theoretical work such as research projects like the Grandes Nomes (Great Names) series.
He has illustrated for the following publications: Le Monde Diplomatique Brasil, GQ Brasil magazine, Você S/A magazine, Galileu magazine, WMF Martins Fontes publishing house, Harper Collins publishing house, Playboy magazine, Moderna publishing house, FTD publishing house, Fiocruz, among others.
